- You must be 21 years old for C, or 18 years old if you also get a PEI
- Have a VAT number, a valid identification document and an amateur B.
- Not be a tax resident abroad, unless first checked by the school.

Professional categories have different age limits, requirements and hours of training. If you are not sure which class you need, start with the vehicle you want to drive and contact the school to check your case.
C / C1
For trucks from 3,500 kg and above, depending on the category.
D / D1
For passenger transport by bus or smaller bus.
C1E / CE / D1E / DE
For combinations of vehicles with a trailer or semi-trailer.

Class C and C1
With the C1 you can drive trucks from 3,500 to 7,500 kg and passengers up to 8 seats plus the driver, with a trailer up to 750 kg. With the C you drive vehicles over 3,500 kg with the ability to tow up to 750 kg.
A minimum of 16 hours of theoretical and 15 hours of practical training is required.
Class D and D1
With the D1 you can drive vehicles carrying up to 16 passengers in addition to the driver and a maximum length of 8 meters, with a trailer of up to 750 kg. With D you drive vehicles carrying more than 8 passengers.

Categories C1E, CE, D1E and DE
Categories with E refer to sets of vehicles with a trailer or semi-trailer. To get these categories you must first have the corresponding professional category C1/C or D1/D.
A minimum of 10 hours of practical training is required.

Indicative schedule
The timetable is indicative and not binding, because it depends on the availability of exams, PEI where required, Department of Transport workload and student readiness.
The application is made at gov.gr, checking myPhoto, authorization and supporting documents.
After forwarding the file, the learner driver card is issued.
Theoretical courses, category book examination and PEI are planned. where necessary.
After the required theoretical procedure, the practicals begin and then the practical exam is scheduled.
With a positive result, a temporary driving license is issued, followed by the receipt of the new driving license from the school.
