What degree do you need?

The basic motorcycle categories

The right category depends on your age, the vehicle you want to drive and whether you already have another licence. The faculty guides you before the application begins, so that no time is wasted in the wrong process.

Papi / moped

From the age of 16, for the first contact with a bicycle and a smaller category of motorcycle.

Up to 125 cc

From 18 years, for a small motorcycle up to 125 cubic meters, depending on the technical specifications.

Up to 35 kW

From 20 years, for medium power motorcycles, according to the category limits.

Unlimited cubes

From the age of 24 or from the age of 22 if you have the A2 category for at least 2 years.

The process starts with photos, parabolas and doctors where required. Immediately afterwards you come to the school, so that the file can be organized and the theoretical and practical steps can be taken.

Apply on the gov.gr platform for driving licenses with Taxisnet credentials.
02 myPhoto and contact information
The photographer uploads a photo and signature to myPhoto and provides the code needed by the school.
03 Electronic authorization
After the application, authorize the school with VAT number 102905499.
04 Theoretical, practical and examination
The faculty organizes the next steps, the theoretical, the practical in the O.A.K.A. area. and the examination.

The procedure followed

Apply through the following link: drivers-vehicles.services.gov.gr/driving-licenses/dashboard.
You should have the taxi codes and your mobile phone entered on gov.gr. If you don't have it, you can through the following link: National Register of Communications - EMEp.
You should also tell the photographer to upload the photo and signature to myPhoto. It will give you a code number, which we want.
After doing these, authorize us in the first link.
The VAT number for electronic authorization is 102905499.
Please print and make the original signature via gov.gr on the responsible declaration of the guardian who has custody, in case of divorce, or of both parents in case of marriage, if the person concerned is under 18 years old.

If you have a license other than a motor vehicle

You are required to meet the age of the category you are requesting.
Tax ID number, identity card/passport or valid residence permit are required.
The photo and signature are uploaded by the photographer to myPhoto.
Minimum hours: 11 theoretical and 12 practical, if you have amateur category B.

If you already have a motorcycle license

The process may vary depending on the existing category.
For example, a minimum of 7 hours of practical training is required for another category of motorcycle.
The school checks your case before the application is made.

If you don't have any driving license

Followed by the online application through gov.gr and the authorization to the faculty.
For minors, a responsible statement from parents or guardian with an original signature is required via gov.gr, where provided.
Minimum hours: 14 practical and 31 theoretical hours.

Over 65 years old

An examination by a pathologist, ophthalmologist, ENT and neurologist is required before starting the course process.

Indicative schedule

How do you get from the application to the motorcycle license?

The timetable is indicative and not binding, as it is affected by exam availability, Ministry of Transport workload and student readiness.

Online application and data check

The gov.gr application, the myPhoto code, the authorization to the school and the basic details of the candidate are checked.

Submission of supporting documents to the Ministry of Transport

The school forwards the file when the supporting documents are complete and correct.

Issuance of a learner driver card

With the issuance of the card, the training and examination process can continue.

Beginning of theoretical courses

The candidate attends the compulsory theoretical courses and prepares for the marks examination.

Start of practical lessons

The practicals start after the completion of the theoretical courses in the area of O.A.K.A.

Theory exam date

The date must be communicated to the school at least 4 working days in advance. In case of failure, a new programming is done.

Possibility of practical examination

With success in theory and when the student is ready in practice, the practical exam is scheduled.

Practical exam failure scenario

If there is a failure in the first examination, the candidate can be rescheduled after 7 days.

Issuance of a temporary driving license

With a positive result, a temporary driving license is issued by gov.gr until the new driving license is issued.

Receiving a new driving license

The new driving license is collected from the school when it is issued.

Where are the practical lessons held?

The proceedings begin in the O.A.K.A. area, where the practical exam is also held.

What equipment do I need for the exam?

You need ankle boots. The special uniform is provided by the school up to size Large.

Can I give theory in another language?

Theories can be examined in Greek, English, Russian and Albanian. For other cases, ask the faculty.

How many hours does it take?

It depends on whether you have another degree. For example, with category B you need at least 11 theoretical and 12 practical hours, while without any driving license 31 theoretical and 14 practical hours.
