Continuing education since 1981

About us

Ioannis Bougatsas continues a family driving school with the goal of not just passing the exams, but meaningful, safe and mature driving.

Our story

From 1981 until today

The school was founded in 1981 by his father Ioannis Bougatsas with the vision of training responsible drivers. Since 2004, Ioannis Bougatsas continues the school with more than 20 years of experience, technical knowledge and a constant emphasis on real driving.

Introductory note

The practical training takes place in two stages

  1. In the first stage, the student gets familiar with handling and driving the vehicle in quiet areas, such as Marousi, Kefalari, Kifissia, Vrilissia, Pefki, Chalandri, Penteli and Melissia.
  2. In the second stage traffic education, correct attitude and mature behavior in real conditions are taught.
  3. The school pays particular attention to automation, so that the student does not have to constantly think about the basic operations and can make the right decisions on the road.

Training steps

First handling, then traffic crisis

Education does not start with the exam. It starts with a safe relationship with the vehicle and gradually progresses to behavior in traffic.

  1. 01 Vehicle handling

The student learns steering, gears, clutch, brake, gas and basic maneuvers until the movements become natural.

  2. 02 Automations

The less the driver thinks about basic controls, the more they can pay attention to the road.

  3. 03 Traffic treatment

The student learns to predict, decide and behave calmly towards other road users.

  4. 04 Real conditions

The training goes to more challenging routes, main roads, highway and exam area.

How to choose the right driving school

Criteria worth looking at

01

Technical proficiency

The instructor must know the vehicle, the traffic law and the correct way of imparting the knowledge.

02

Contagiousness

A good teacher is one who helps the student to function and think correctly, not just to teach.

03

Adaptation to the student

Training should be tailored to the character, difficulties and strengths of each candidate.

04

Severity until examination

Detail makes all the difference in driving. The faculty should serve the right and not the convenient.

05

Transparency

Ask for clear information about what is on offer and avoid promises that sound too cheap.

06

Value, not just price

Lower price does not always mean lower cost. Poor training can cost much more.

Reasonable questions

Answers before you start

Why aren't all the pedals given from the first lesson?

So that the student does not get lost and stressed. Training is built gradually so that each new element builds on something already mastered.

What if there is an accident in class?

Training is done with constant supervision and prevention. The instructor is there to control the situation and intervene before danger arises.

Is it normal to be nervous the first time?

Yes, but if you are a first-time driver, you don't need to worry about bad habits. We're starting over, right?

Can I learn by driving only in Alana?

Alana can help with basic handling, but it doesn't teach restraints, traffic, contingencies and real driving judgment.

Start right

Do you want education that lasts after the exams?

Call the school or fill out the student form so we can arrange a suitable start.
