Obtaining the right to drive an A1 motorcycle up to 125cc without tests is allowed for holders of a B car driving license, provided that the conditions of code 121 are met.

When can you get code 121

The process is short, without theory and without exams, as long as the basic requirements for holding a B driving license are met.

Age 27+ years

The interested party must have reached the age of 27.

Driving license B for 6 years

A driving license for at least 6 years is required.

5 practical lessons

There are 5 compulsory practical lessons, each lasting 45 minutes.

No exams

The instructor confirms completion and a new driving license is issued with code 121.

What does it mean practically?

Drive A1 up to 125cc only within Greece

The extension to A1 motorcycle without exams applies to B car driving license holders who are over 27 years old and have held the license for at least 6 years. 5 practical driving lessons, each lasting 45 minutes, are required at a driving school.

You do not take theory or practical exams. After the completion of the courses, the instructor certifies the training and a new driving license is issued with the code 121.

What you need to get started

Apply through the following link: drivers-vehicles.services.gov.gr/driving-licenses/dashboard.
You should give us the Taxisnet credentials and have your mobile phone transferred to gov.gr. If it is not up to date, you can do so from the National Register of Communications - EMEp.
The photographer should be asked to upload the photo and signature to myPhoto. The photographer will give you a code number, which we need at school.
You complete 5 mandatory 45-minute practical lessons at a driving school.
You do not take theory or practical exams.
After the certificate of completion of the courses, a new driving license is issued with the code 121.

Vehicles covered by A1 with code 121

Motorcycles A1 up to 125cc

Motorcycles up to 125 cm³, with a maximum power of 11 kW, i.e. approximately 14.96 hp, and a power-to-weight ratio of less than 0.1 kW/kg.

Motorized tricycles

Motorized tricycles up to 15 kW.

Where does code 121 apply?

The extension with code 121 is only valid within Greece.
